I think it is clear most folks are ready to see 2020 go!

What are your goals for 2021?

The year has presented many challenges, more than a few controversies and while there has been a lot of negativity, the personal trainer in me refuses to let the bad influence my outlook or perspective in my ability to live the #FitToHunt lifestyle.  In fact, Covid-19 produced just the opposite.  It made me even more positive, thankful for what God has bestowed upon me and produced a clearer picture of the goals I intend to CRUSH in the New Year.

Make no mistake…you are a hunter

In early October, online personal training client and friend Ben T of St. Louis, MO told me something that startled me.  After losing 50 pounds and training to be #FitToHunt, he switched gears and told me he was not planning to hunt much in 2020. I was blown over but like any good coach, I listened and here is what I learned from Ben.

  • Ben’s business is on the brink of exploding and he wanted to focus more time on growing it today so he can hunt more tomorrow
  • Ben is a husband and father to a one-year old and greatly values his family time
  • Ben is a public servant and is deeply passionate about making his community stronger
  • Ben is still working on achieving an additional 20-25 pounds of weight loss to improve his over health and well-being #FitDad
Coach Jeremy plans to continue making habitat improvements to his farm in 2021

It is a big picture view of life and I was incredibly proud of his perspective.  He was willing to forgo immediate gratification to accomplish long-term objectives that will ultimately allow him to dive headfirst into living the #FitToHunt lifestyle with his wife and children.  For the record, he harvested a nice buck with his bow and enjoyed time in the woods with his family during firearms season.

In our conversation Ben told me, “Jeremy, I am still working to be #FitToHunt but right now, I am hunting different things.”

Getting ahead of January

December is here!  I am not sure how it happened so fast, but we are in the final days of 2020.  As we move closer to 2021, I am challenging you, hunter or not, to do one thing: Start thinking about the things you intend to hunt in 2021 today.

You may not be after deer, elk or fish but you may be interested in:

Coach Nick achieved his goal of hunting and mentoring others in the outdoors in 2020
  • Losing weight and improving your health
  • Obtaining an advanced degree to make you more marketable in an odd job climate
  • Improving relationships with friends or achieving more and better family time
  • Strengthening your financial situation
  • Growing closer to God
  • Landing that new job or promotion
  • And yes…maybe going on that adventure hunt of a lifetime

How can we help?

Please do not wait until January 1 to plan for 2021.  Pour a cup of coffee, get a piece of paper, and start writing down what you plan to hunt in the New Year.  If we can be of assistance, we would love to have a conversation with you.  For a free consultation contact us at info@stayfittohunt.com.
